Centered on what was formerly a 12000 acre estate this beautiful Gothic styled masion was the home of the Duckett farmil from the mid 17th century until 1915. The area around the house was used as a training ground for the Irish Republican Army during the Irish war of Independance. The house was badly damaged by fire in 1933. The house is now in the poscession of Carlow county council
