Muckross House (Kerry)
This magnificent Tudor style mansion was designed by Scottish architect William Burn and constructed in 1843 for Henry Aruthur Herbert and his family. Comprising of 65 rooms the mansion was extensively refurbished during the 1850’s in preparation for Queen Victoria’s visit to the area in 1861. Today the house and gardens are state owned and are open to the public
